Anna's abcess photos

Don't give up hope, shelties can live a long time! Our shelties ranged from 11-14 but my puppy's breeder said she had a couple shelties live to be 19! My vet had a sheltie who was 17.
 
My Revel is 11 and Merlin is 13, so I know how you feel, but shelties by and large are a healthy breed and many do live well into their teens. Recently I've had it drawn to my attention that just because a dog is young does not guarentee good health, and conversley, just because they are older dosn't automatically mean they will become poorly. I'm glad AnnaBelle is doing well. She looks like such a sweetie in her photos:smile2:
