Another busy week for me

That is a huge number of rescues. Are they all shelties? We had an influx at the shelter here - mainly from people getting rid of their dogs before the holidays. Its too sad.
 
All of the dogs we take in are pure bred shelties. We don't take mixes. We'd like to but don't have the funds or the foster homes to care for them so we stick strictly with the pure breds. It makes me sad to see a deserving dog be turned down just because he doesn't happen to be a pure bred but there are so many pure breds out there that need our help that we have to draw a line in the sand somewhere or we wouldn't be able to help the ones we have. We also have our reputation to consider too. If we take in too many dogs and don't have enough hands to care for them as they deserve then we would be forced to lower our standards and we won't do that because they deserve better care than that.
 
If it wasnt for rescue I wouldnt have found my handsome man Buddy! He came from one and He is such a joy! We thank you for all you do! Keep up the good work!
