I was checking in on the Find Chloe FB page & saw this post. If anyone has room please check into this & contact them. Here's what they posted.

Double merle sheltie needs a new home!

I am in contact with someone who is looking to place a male double merle sheltie (deaf) in a new forever home. The dog is good with other dogs and chickens (probably ok with cats, but has not been tested). He will be 5 years old next month. I do not have a photo yet, but I'm told he is almost all white. Please private message me if you would like me to put you in contact with this person. You will need to send me your email or phone number to pass along. This dog really needs to get out of its current situation as quickly as possible.

Here's the FB page with the posting- www.facebook.com/pages/Bring-Chloe-Home/139697356226157#!/deb.bauer.58

Still no Chloe but there have been sightings so that's hopeful.

Were is he? I can't get another dog, but I can spread the word if he's close. Hope he finds his new home soon!:fl

The facebook page for the dog is Northern Chesapeake Sheltie Rescue. It says they serve DE, MD, WV, SE PA and surrounding areas. So-somewhere in that part of the country, not sure exactly where but that region.

I would love to...

Oh I would love to bring him into my home. Koffoy would love to have a big brother. Unfortunately they are requiring a fenced in yard and I don't have a fenced in yard. :(. I understand their desired for wanting a fenced in yard, but why make it a requirement. I feel like because I don't have one they think I'm not a good enough fur kid momma.

Probably a bit more important with a blind dog though.

Maybe they could make an exception for you as you are already a sheltie momma and have experience with shelties. If I were you, and you want a big brother for Koffoy, I would check anyway. Won't know 100 percent for sure until you ask. That would be so great if you could get him.

I am praying for you that you can.

It is worth inquiring if no fence is a deal killer. Since you already have 1 sheltie they might make an exception. Ask if someone from a local rescue could do a home visit to see your situation. He is deaf so wouldn't hear if you called him but then I find a lot of non deaf shelties will ignore being called if they haven't been trained. If you are willing to learn how to handle his lack of hearing they might consider it. I know I would.
