Arthritis

Hi All! I have a 7 1/2 year old Shelty. She does not show any signs of discomfort, but she avoids following me upstairs unless she is sure it is bedtime. She still jumps up on the chair if I am in it. So, I am not certain that she has arthritis, but wondered about giving her glucosamine of some sort to prevent it, or treat it if it is starting. I have seen cosequin, glucosamine mlm?, cosequin DS? What has been your experience, which is safest and best, and do you advise owners to use it. Thanks in advance for any comments. Carole

Welcome to Sheltie Nation, Carole! I strongly recommend Vibrant Pets. I have four Shelties. Two had hip/joint issues. I started them on VP and within a week, they were running again! I do not make money from VP, but the man who developed and markets it lives in my town and is a friend. All ingredients are US sourced. A number of us on SN use VP and have wonderful results. And if you're not satisfied, Lee will refund your money. Call him -- he'll give you the Sheltie Nation discount!
