:Hello everyone

I'm busy as ever again. I picked up three new pups on Saturday. Sabor is a seven year old blue merle.. He's over weight and pining for his daddy right now. Poor boy is off his feed (not too worried about that) He weighs 47.4 lbs and should weigh about 32. He's a nice boy though as with all merles he's hard headed....

Shadow came to us through a tragic circumstance. His owner tried to commit suicide and is in a mental health facility for help. She is not going to come out any time soon from what I understand. The dogs (three of them) were left unattended inside her home without food or water for three days before animal control went in and rescued them. Shadow is a real gentleman. At eight years old he's settled and a sweet sweet guy.

Julie came in a year ago with the hoarder bust in March of 2011. She whelped four male puppies in the infirmary at the animal control. We took her and her two day old puppies from the shelter on March 10. Julie was H/W positive but we couldn't inoculate her or treat her until she weaned her pups. She was very introverted and wouldn't interact with humans at all for over nine months. Her foster mom told Barbara that it might be good to give her a different environment to help her come out of her shell. Well she's been with me for two days now and I can tell you there isn't anything wrong with this little girl. She's happy, wags her tail and comes when called. We're beginning to think that the foster mom was enabeling her...
She's a sweet heart and ready to go to her furever home.

Well they are beautiful despite such difficult circumstances. How many Shelties does your rescue have?

Wow, you and the rescue squad have been busy. So glad these little pups are in good hands. Such a sad face on little Sabor. He’ll feel better when he drops some weight.

They all look like such sweeties I hope they find good homes. The story about Shadow was pretty sad, my mother in law has been battling some mental health issues for the last 5 years and she had to give up her dog because of them but she was lucky the breeder took him back, but I know she misses him every day.

I know you keep busy down there in FL Judy.

About what my Bandit came in at, he was 49 lbs when I got him and we got him down to 32 lb. He's much more a mommy's boy though and went to the perfect home with a nice retired lady.

excellent- I know that the pups will be in good hands at your place.

I've wondered about Julie- she's beautiful and the site says young Sheltie so I couldn't imagine that she hadn't been adopted yet. now it makes sense- thanks for taking care of them and send a hug:hugs to Rio for me:yes:
