My Shyla is a very exhuberant little girl and she needs some "polishing" so we start on January 4 with basic obedience. When she completes that eight week course I'll evaluate again and see if she needs to attend advanced obedience... I think she'll go all the way as I need a night out from home to do something fun and what is more fun than dog training.
The club is looking for some assistant trainers too so I talked to the training director about taking a position as assistant trainer for a session or two this year and see if I like it.. She said I could assist with the puppy training class at 6 PM then train with Shyla in Basic Obedience at 7 Pm... How perfect for us! Also their membership director resigned and they are looking for someone to fill that slot... Not sure I want to be that involved yet but who knows.. I just might do that too! I'll find out just what the job entails before I make a decision. I'd rather not do it at all if I can't do an excellent job of it...
