Bad Breath!

Oh has she got some awful breath lately! :dead:

I checked her teeth to see if she had something stuck or a sore or bad tooth and everything's fine in her mouth. I though maybe it could be she was sick cause I know sometimes they will get bad breath from that, but she acts fine and seems perfectly healthy and happy.

I guess she just has bad breath? Do they make breath mints for puppies??

It might not be the reason Madi has bad breath, but it is a good place to start for information. I know Ive seen breath mints for dogs, but they just temporarily mask the problem.

My little Toby tends to have horrible breath. :dead: It is much improved after a good cleaning with a dental tool (to get the tarter off at the gum line) & then a brushing with dog tooth paste.

I'd take a vet visit first...then if nothing comes up wrong, look into doggie breath mints.
I saw some in the store (Food Lion) once. My mom was like :rolleyes2:.
 
Thank you for the article. My husband already mentioned that maybe we should brush her teeth, so I think that maybe we will now ;)
 
I use Leba III, a spray that keeps tartar from building up. Now that we have five dogs (yes, we rescued another one -- a Chow/Golden Retriever cross from a kill pound), I have to be thrifty as well as healthy!
 
Deffinetly brush the teeth : ] I try and brush Shelbie's teeth twice a week or more if I find the time and her breath has never been bad since! Good luck!!
