So Fluffy's ears have been all over the place today. BOTH of these pictures were taken tonight. Her ears are being very random. :uhoh: So I reglued.

I am still the worse ear gluer in the world. By the time I get it right Fluffy will be grown and I won't have to worry about it for 15 more years. In which case I will have forgotten it anyway. :biggrin2:

This time I think I did a better job. Glue isn't everywhere at least, and it's tighter. If that makes any sense. :uhoh:

You can see Fluffy's pink outfit beside her crate. It's the one she wore after she got spayed.

You're good, I tried the glue and the sump oil methods once and gave up with more on me than the dog. After that I used the much easier chewing gum on the ears method..

Is that tape also that I see? It's hard to tell in the picture, but it looks like it.

I only use a small dab of glue on the ear.I take my finger that has the glue dab on it,and place the glue on the tip,and just a smidge on the side.Fold the ear over.

You know the hair that is in front of the ear,my finger is behind that, and I simply roll my finger out,and attach the ear tip to that hair.give a bit of a gentle squeeze, hold for a second or two,and it holds.
Jasper's ears this time have held for two weeks, and show no signs of coming loose yet.

Once they set,I look at the hairs on the sides of his ears,if I want to do a bridge.

These hairs if you pull gently together will pull the ear higher on the head if you have the right ones.
Brush hair forward, then twist those few pieces of hair together with a bit of glue to make the bridge,to bring the ears together.
Hope that makes sense.

There is no glue on the inside of the ear - only tape. There is one piece of Japense tape on the inside that is longways to hold the ear up. Then I rolled a piece of tape and pressed the ears down with it. No glue on the skin at all.

The back and top of her head is where I put two small dabs of glue. Her ears are set wide and hang to the side, so I decided to try something different from the tape brace. I went with a glue brace instead.

Yes,now that I looked again,I see it. Jaspers were wide set to,and doing a bridge really helped the fist few times.

If you really want tipped and high set ears then keep gluing and taping. I know how frustrating it can be. I want to stop taping so badly, but we only 6 more weeks left till Bailey is a year old. Then we're done and hopefully our hard work paid off. I took the tape out for a few days last week and Bailey's ears stayed tipped. Although one ear seems to be tipped a little lower than the other. Her ear set seems pretty good. I didn't brace them, but they seem to be on the top her head.
