Bela's Adoption Day - 1 year!

There are no small miracles! Bela started playing yesterday with toys for the first time. This morning, she was so anxious to get her breakfast that she did the Sheltie prance and bounce for the first time! She's also smiling most of the time, and wagging her tail.

I suspect she's quite happy with me! This time last year, I despaired of her ever being a normal Sheltie. In another year, I could see her possibly earning her CGC! (Well, I guess I'm a little premature in that - she's still awfully skittish.)

Anyway, Bela had an excellent Adoption Day, had a couple of special treats, and a lot of mom-time!

Oh, and last night she actually bounced all over the hubs (who didn't appreciate it too much) without paying any attention to his loud "stop it! stop it, furball!" She usually gives him an extra-wide berth when he is yelling. I was laughing too hard to make her stop, so she just kept doing it! It's so wonderful when such a horribly abused dog starts doing naughty stuff that I wouldn't DARE let my competition dogs do. I'm really starting to enjoy all her misbehavior.
