My 1.5 year old Benjamin has always had problems and is on Fluoxetine, he's improved a lot, but very slowly, and that's ok with me as long as he's improving I don't care how long it will take.
Recently I've got another issue, I went holiday for 6 days and he was home with my husband, ever since I came back, he's been like a piece of glue, sticks to me every where I go. He did this even before my holidays but it's not as bad as now. I cannot even sit on the sofa now as he will come and grab my legs or if i stand up, he will grab my legs, basically wherever I go now, he just grabs onto my legs. The worse one is when I go to the bathroom, he will whine (only a little bit) outside the door. He won't whine if I go into the kitchen or the bedroom, very strange little thing.
Whenever he grabs onto my leg, i will hide myself into a room and come out say 15-20 seconds later, it used to work, but it don't seem to work now.

It may take a bit, but I suspect his grip will relax in a week or so. Your technique sounds good.
