Bitten when vacuuming

It's funny but neither Piper or Finnie is bothered at all by the vacuum but then I used to put them in their crate when they were puppies and vacuum nearby, guess they got used to the noise. Heck, Finnie will stand a foot away when I use the wand to get the dust bunnies, guess he's gotta make sure it's safe lol.

Hi and welcome!

Many herding breeds are sound sensitive. !

It also doesn't help that most motors and engines are also make quite a racket at frequencies above 20khz which is the limit most teens can hear.

If I'm vacuming, I can usually get him to stop with a no bark, however my wife its generally not workable. However if I'm in the SOHO, he will end up relaxing next to me while she vacs.

Easiest thing to do is just put them in a bedroom while using it.
Or turn it on, then sit on the couch and watch tv or do some browsing with headphones on for a half an hour.
