Book on behavior and personality

Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone has a great suggestion for a book on Sheltie behavior and personality. There are many on the how to's, breeding and picking a dog - I already have one who is an adult, but I am wondering about the ins and outs of their little personalities - like the fact that they need their personal space, that they are barkers and why they bark, that they learn fast and can be manipulative just to get a treat or how they are very particular about greeting etiquette and don't like it when another dog just bounds into their face and so they might snap and other subtleties - stuff that is unique to the breed, quirky and gives insight into how to live, love and train them the best that we can.

Any feedback would be appreciated. I am not sure this was the best place to post this but I didn't see a place for book inquiries in the forum and didn't know where else to post this.

I second Sheltie Talk. The best book for ins and outs of the sheltie. I looking forward to the new issue to. I love the old one.
 
I agree about Sheltie Talk. I've read several sheltie books and none compare. I read the book (older version) cover to cover and found myself thinking "yes, that's the case" about 100 times. :)
 
Yes and you're in luck! They just published Volume 1 of the NEW Sheltie Talk. Most of us have worn out our copy that is at least 30 years old but still invaluable for reference. It covers everything breed-specific on Shelties from behavior to health, breeding, nutrition and history of the breed.
