Y'know, Miko has always had a slight bow to his back. I know he's not show standard in anyway (as he also has a kink in his tail, very weird). But recently, with his weight loss and getting his weight under control (like me, I figured I'd best do it so it's easier on his body as he ages), I noticed his back doesn't bow anymore. Granted, it'll never be as straight as Koji's, but still.
I'm just amazed/dumbfounded at how much weight can affect a dog's body. Sheesh. I wish I had put him on a diet sooner to get his weight under control. I can't say that the weight bothered him, as he was always around 20-23 lbs, but I see how it affected his bowing back.
What else can a couple pounds do to a Shelties body?
