Never do sleep well the night before these tests!
We went in for Brodie's 4th U/S, no bloodwork this time as he's had 2 rounds this year and all was well. Great outcome, Doc actually went back through the previous 3 scans and sees a reduction in sludge! He said he has gone from 25-30%, down to 25 when we added in Miss Ann's recommended milk thistle supplement, to no change after 6 months on an additional supplement. For the 6 months prior to this scan, I had stopped the Gussy's Gut that had been added in, added a second milk thistle pill daily as well as a Super Snouts scoop in the morning with a Nordic Fish Oil at night. Doc feels his sludge is really reduced. He's down below 20% closer to but not quite at to 15%. Supplementation will continue as we've done for these 6 months and he is extended on his next U/S to 10 months so in October both boys will have follow up u/s.
The only other change to their diet these last months is the stoppage of bully sticks. I've been back and forth to my dad's a lot this year and the boys have gone without the bully sticks for so long, they no longer ask for them. When they do, I've been able to appease them with collagen sticks which I feel are better for them at their ages anyway. Both boys had put on a bit of weight when they went for their last vet visit at the end of October, Brodie more than Deacon who was only a few ounces. My trips have cut down on their walks and I haven't been in Rally and Agility classes in months since I was paying for stuff I wasn't able to attend due to my travels. Brodie weighed in a bit less so I am happy he is on the right track again.
