C-BARQ: Canine Behavioral Assessment and Research Questionnaire

Looking up some research topics today for a stats project, I came across this site. I registered Olive and was amazed at how closely the scores reflect her various behavioral tendencies. I think it will be helpful as yet another tool to use in our training efforts. For any of you with dogs with "issues" I'd suggest completing the questionnaire. It might bring to light things you were not aware of. And it's interesting for any dog owner!

I geek out over stuff like this. I'm definitely going to look into it.

I just posted about Dognition's Canine Assessment Toolkit that also gathers data and statistics regarding canine cognition, and I thought it was fascinating!

I just saw that and thought, well, there's goes my spending money! I totally blame you. :winkgrin:
 
I did this yesterday, and Missy got mostly gold stars, but got a single red flag in "non-social fear" and a double red flag in "Energy". Well, she's only 14 months old.. of course she has a lot of energy! And as far as non-social fear... she has her moments of skittishness, but it's not something that causes any problems. I can still take her pretty much anywhere and she's not a nervous wreck or anything. Maybe I just answered the questions wrong..
 
I have attempted to review one of my dogs just because it free:smile2:
nothing came even close to complexity of what my dog is. They mixed up behavior and dog training stuff and absolutely unclear on what aggression is.
Here is the thing- with every dog behavior has to be seen in the context, you can not just go and say this means this and that means that. Mmm, disappointed. Seems like a big project from big school...
