Can't believe it!

Bentley has never been toy motivated. He will tug a toy if I make him, but has no interest other than that. Lexi often taunts him with her toys, but he barely looks at her. Lexi, on the other hand, loves to play, fetch, tug, etc...

Tonight, Bentley walked over, picked up a stuffed monkey, and proceeded to throw it around and play with it! He then brought it to me, and we tugged. Then, I threw it and he went after it! Of course he walked very slowly, and didn't bring it back, but still! I couldn't believe it! (Naturally we were restraining Lexi the whole time or she would have stolen it)

I think he is getting jealous because we play with Lexi all the time.

Isn't it a riot when they "decide" it's play time? Every once in a while, Annie comes over with her ball and waves it at one of us, grrr-in until we tug with her. You have to wonder what goes on in those furry little heads!

That's wicked... Good job Bentley!!!

I have noticed that it takes a bit more to get Toffee toy-motivated as well. But more and more so, with the tug rope, etc... because I want to encourage that for our first agility class!

Its funny, the changes you see in dog #1 when you bring dog #2 home.

Sadie was never a cuddler till we brought Ginny home. Sadie saw Ginny cuddling with us and decided that she wanted to cuddle too. Now she regularly sits with us and cuddles up to me on a daily basis, both things she'd never done before Ginny. Sadie is almost cat like some times, she'll weave through my legs and rub her face into my legs. So cute!

Go Bentley!

My dogs haven't really changed since I brought Bailey home. The only change I noticed is that Cali (chihuahua) follows me and Bailey around the house. She was normally attached to my mother. She just knows that I always practice obedience with Bailey, which means treats!!! Cali doesn't know how to "sit", but when she hears that word, she comes running because she knows Bailey will get a treat and I always give her one too.

Bacca used to fetch when he was the only one. Now he plays "hog-the-ball".

He still loves to tug though - with me or with Indy - though Indy rarely wants to tug with him because Bacca always wins.

My favourite is watching Bacca play by himself! He'll take a toy, shake it around, toss it in the air and catch it or pounce on it.

Indy really does not play much, but he's got a few favourite squeakies that he'll bring out of the basket sometimes for a few minutes.

Usually the boys just play with each other. Grapple and wrastle about. Don't know why I keep buying them toys....! :rolleyes2::rolleyes2::lol:
