so one of the clubs that I belong to had a Cerf clinic over the weekend.
since I had never had the shelties checked, I thought it would be a good time to do it.
also, I would be able to rule out detectable eye issues that might cause vision issues with Cran's jumping. I was pretty sure that he could see fine- he catches the frisbee (not all the time as I am a horrible thrower) and he doesn't try to jump if there is no bar on the jump.
anyway, little puppy Jocu went first and was fine. he was all like- where's my cookie.....
then Dixie, and she was a sweetie and the doc and tech thought she was a cutie-pie.. and she wanted her cookies too
then Cran- I thought the blue eye might be different and it was. the doc said he was marking him as normal but that other doctors might not see it that way. he said the blood vessels were a little different but he didn't think it was outside of normal.
he mentioned CEA while we were talking which made me look it up later. I've heard of it but didn't really know much about it. I certainly didn't know the best time to check is between 6-8 weeks and that irregularities can become more normal in appearance as the dog gets older.

anyway, it was an interesting day and I'm glad that I did it.
