Chloe has Lymes Disease

OK...so my vet decided today to switch Chloe's meds.

She will now be on 250mg - 2X a day of Amoxicillan for 14 days.

Good I had seen Dr. Shellie mentioning she may be resistant to the dox. last week so hopefully this will take care of it once and for all. Keeping you in our prayers.:smile2:

Yes! Dr. Shelli did recommend it, so I was a little nervous when he put her back on the same does of doxy last week. He called me today for an update, and I told him that the chiropractor said that she was stiff in her neck area and down her front leg, and that the muscle was very tight. He decided, even though she was responding to the doxy, that maybe the switch to Amoxicillan will knock it out completely, instead of starting...stopping....starting...stopping the doxy which has been going on far too long.

Crossing fingers that this wipes it out.

'Cause I am getting MORE than concerned

I pulled her from agility classes through October, as well as her obedience class. We decided that for the next two months, we are going to try and keep her as quiet as possible with just getting "adjustments" every two weeks. I want her better. I also picked up an immune support nature supplement that you can give them to treat Lyme. I am going to start that AFTER her round of amoxicillan to see if that can keep it at bay.

Lymes disease is the pits. Seriously. It stinks.
