Collie Eye and dog activities

Oh that is crappy. What person, especially a vet, could be mean and rough with a small delicate girl like Kismet? I'd be hoppin' mad.
Your solutions sound good; I know it's now limited what she can do competition-wise, but she's a happy girl nonetheless.

Oh bugger, typed a long response and it disappeared. This specialist grabbed her muzzle and shook her, while growling at her when she tried to wiggle away. All it took was me to give her a treat but he kept doing it, I was so mad I shoved my hand between him and her.

He also said at the least she's very short signted and could do with corrective lenses (which they can do) but I can't afford it. At worse she has a CEA with Coloboma which leads to blindness, but there's not much we can do about that so I guess we just wait.

My weave poles that I have for backyard use came with alternating red and blue bands on the poles from the manufacturer wonder if that would help?.

Our home ones are striped too, and there's a training set at the club that's also striped that she's fine with. But the competition sets are all white. I was getting so frustrated because I couldn't understand why she could do weaves any other time. If she was more experienced we could get a rhythm and she could ignore where the weaves actually are, but she's getting bored and frustrated by them. We might just have to skip weaves and just run in novice forever.
