Does anybody have any experience with Collie Eye? We’ve been told by two vets that Mindy has it. She goes to an eye specialist next month. Not sure what to expect.

Yes, Tully has Collie Eye. The only reason I know is because she was main register and had to be tested as a pup in case she was bred from (pet dogs don't get tested). She could only have been bred with an unaffected dog. It has made no difference to her sight. Nowadays her sight is not as good but that's due to old lady eyes and not the Collie Eye. Most of the time you'll find the dog is unaffected, it may be just a small spot on the back of the eye.

Riley had a problem with one eye (not sure if it was Collie eye as I got him at 5 1/2), it was just a spot on one eye that didn't seem to affect his vision at all. He was on Voltaren eye drops for the last 2 years of his life (otherwise he'd start to squint).
