I know that Claussen wasn't playing with the Aussie here-I just wanted to catch the behavior on film BC he does it with other dogs at the dog park-just not quite so forceful. But he likes getting on other dogs backs and just standing there. He behaves like this towards the Aussie when Little Bear isn't even with me. Little Bear isn't very playful with other dogs. He goes up to anything from St. Bernards, Akitas, Mastiffs and Danes to Beagles, sharpeis, anybody really-but-when they want to sniff his butt, he turns and turns do they can't smell it. He will let them smell under his stomach though. But he always just wants to hang with me unless the pack takes off for a run around the park-then he follows barking at the pack. Both my boys have weird habits I guess. I am always watchful of their behavior and am there to give a time out for unwanted actions. I've decided to suck it up and take my dogs out separately 2-3 days a week to work on their training and behavior around other dogs.
