Crate Mats

Bailey has a typical sherpa crate mat. She also pushes her mat aside when the weather is warmer. I think she likes the coldness of the metal floor.
This is what she does:

I just bought her one of these:

She'll probably push this mat aside too...hey, as long as she's comfortable

that is way too cute
the pups have beds scattered all over the house- cheap blankies or towels in the crates. I like the bathmat idea- may have to check into that :smile2:

I have the same mat in the first link for Ginny too. IJ like it because its easy to clean.

We use the rubber backed small bath mats. They fit perfectly in a 200 size crate, whether it is a plastic kind or wire type. I believe the size is 17"x23". They don't slide around, wash very easily, and cost next to nothing. I sometimes find them at discount stores or odd job lots type stores. Yes, they can be unusual colors, as that is what is the cheapest, say $3.99. I have stacks and stacks of them. Or, you can find thicker ones at Penney's, Macy's etc, but cost approx $12.99. Target has some great colors, and sometimes they are on sale. I have to have beds that can be hosed off and thrown in the washer if the unthinkable happens :wink2:

What a great idea!

one more funny thing....every morning in the kennel building after the dogs are out, we go around and "make everyone's bed"! This means straightening the mat, so it looks inviting when it's time to retire. I hate a messy bed!

hahahaaa my mom is always doing the same thing...I keep telling her they spent all night and just got it the way they like it and she goes and changes it:lol: She tells me it gives them a job to do:lol:

I have the mats that have the foam in them and rubber on one side to keep it in place...they are thin enough as well that they can go in the washer and dry with ease and when the unthinkable occurs:eek2: I think precision makes them...but I do also use the rug mats in their travel crates.
