Crate size for small sheltie

In the interest of saving some money though I would buy bigger (as in what you think you'll need for your adult) and make some kind of divider if it didn't already come with one for the puppy stage.

I ended up going with the 30" because there are days pup will have to be in his kennel while I'm at work and I want him to be able to stretch out. I'll do the same and divide it somehow so it's to size while he's a puppy. Thanks everyone for the advice.

That was going to my recommendation.

Once pup is potty trained, but yet to be chew proof trained you can conisider a crate within an xpen which is what I have for Callan. It works awesome. When I leave the house I put him in crate. When I'm home but busy, I open the door and he access to water and toys!

The floor is foam interlock pads. Like the kids play floors. If he spills his water or has an accident my floods are protected.

I think i posted a picture of his set up already. Or maybe that was on Facebook.....:confused2:

Sca has a mansion sized for Collies

It is big enough for both guys but Spitfire lays on top of Sca when I put him in also :rolleyes2:
