I'm picking up my new baby this Friday. I've ordered a crate that is 28" L X 20" W X 19.2" H and comes with a divider. Unfortunately, it will not be here before I leave my house to pick her up, so I thought I would pick one up to use just to bring her home in and for her first trip to the vet while I wait for the other crate to arrive. My girl is an 8 week old puppy and is on the small size. I can get a crate that is fairly inexpensive and is 15" W x 23" D x 12 1/2" H to use for these first few trips. Do you think it will be OK?

I'm not sure of the dimensions, but when we brought Lexi home for the first few weeks she slept in a cat carrier crate.

I used a puppy carrier to bring Cranberry home - he slept in it and got hauled to the vet and pet stores in it. and I saved it and Jocu, then Destin also used it.

I gotta say that I loved being able to carry the puppy around in the carrier.
I had it in the cart with the pup in it and an adult sable sheltie on leash in the pet store one time- one of the employees came over and was all about the pretty girl and didn't even see the carrier/puppy until the second time we saw that person in the store- it was pretty funny. it was all about the puppy then
