Willow is a very sweet girl. She is about as opposite the spectrum as you can get from Birch and Spruce. She always has been. Rachel worked really hard with her as a baby getting her extra socialization because she was always a bit behind the others.
I am not sure if it has anything to do with it but Willow almost died as a newborn baby. You see I was watching their mom and the boarding kennel for Rachel while she was at work at the vet clinic and a client came to pick up their dog. Ada had not shown 1 sign, not ONE!, of labor and was just hanging out in the whelping box. So imagine my surprise when Pike met me at the door when I came back 30 mins later doing his best Timmy fell down the well act racing back and forth between my and the stairs. I remember saying what is wrong with you and then I heard it " the squeals" and I think I touch 2 steps flying down into the basement. I hit the landing and saw 2 blue puppies in the whelping box which turned out to be Rachel' Ash and Spruce. They looked good and I sigh relief and then I saw her a Tri puppy laying outside the box next to the ex pen. OMG

not moving, blue, cold I thought dead.

But I felt a faint heart beat and went to work and got her back, got her warmed up and popped her on mom and she never looked back.

If you remember the litter, her original name was Juniper.
Willow wasn't sold as a serious performance pup and her mom has never done agility before and is quite self conscious about handling and quiet(Willow was a great match because they are similar quiet temperaments and Willow is very biddable). The turns baffle mom. Short sequences baffle mom. Because her mom is nervous it goes right down to Willow who gets worried. But when mom is sure Willow is sure. They are still in foundation class, but you should see her on the contacts no fear! The may never trial but they try really hard, are having fun and are improving slowly.
