Dog Beds

My guys are not big on beds due to Sca!! Yes the good dog. He would leave them alone until one evening it would get flipped over wrestled then gutted. Spitfire liked beds but after a couple weeks Sca would destroy them. Angus had one that was where he put all his toys, eventually he lost interest and that was the start of the merle mansion. He discovered Spitfire can attack you in the bed and steal stuff but under the coffee table you have a chance of defense because he can sneak up on you. Ian has one but never sleeps in it, if really tired or hiding it is the merle mansion.

I have three memory foam dog beds I made for them from a 3" mattress topper that wasn't used anymore. I decided to add the bolsters last year, since Fil looks so silly with his head hanging off the edge! Had to get a special adhesive spray to glue memory foam--who'd a thunk it? Fil likes to use the bolster as a pillow. Benson started sleeping in one of the beds in the bedroom this winter, so all three get used. Walmart and Big Lots were selling cute dog themed throws so I covered the foam with those and pinned it together on the bottom. Easy peasy to take off and wash. Lots of cute commercial beds have no way to wash the covering!

I did something similar. I use pillowcases
they make great crate pads...and beds for the car
