Dog friendly hotel chain in Michigan?

You'd be surprised at how many hotels/motels take dogs now. Out here La Quinta chain is a good choice - not sure if they are in Michigan. I think if you google "pet-friendly lodging" you'll get a variety to choose from. Some require that you crate the dogs in the rooms. Just depends (and not that anyone would really know if they sleep on the bed instead.... ;))

La Quinta was not the last time I checked. La Quinta was my go to if I did not drive the RV to flyball.

When I went to Idaho and Montana (I know, not the area you’re going to) I had great luck finding pet friendly motels that only charged a small pet fee. $10 at one place. I don’t remember the others. None of the motels I stayed at required the dog to be crated

I know here Super 8, Choice hotels and several others I can’t think of lol are pet friendly. I usually go through booking.com and it’ll tell you if they’re pet friendly or not.
And as Elei mentioned they do charge a fee, some 10$/ dog, some even more. Last time I went to a show I told them I had a dog but I didn’t tell them I had 2 dogs:lol:. The room had a patio door and I figured they’d usually only see one so.... I was only charged for 1 dog. Even if they noticed (there was a bit more barking than you’d expect for one dog) they didn’t say anything.
