Bring your Sheltie(s) out for a fun event that benefits the Baltimore Humane Society. Dogfest will be held Oct. 15 from 9-6. Go to Dogfest2011.org for info and directions.

My group, the No. Chesapeake Sheltie Rescue, will be on hand with some of their Shelties who are looking for their forever home. If you can't take one home with you, you can support this non-profit by purchasing some of their goodies. If you come out, be sure to stop by our booth and say hello and meet Bentley, our 4-year old rescue Sheltie whom we adopted 2.5 years ago!

My husband and I took Bentley and Murphy to this extremely well attended event. The morning started off a bit breezy and chilly, but by Noon the sun had warmed the air enough for jackets to come off. Murphy (a.k.a. Hater) was the perfect gentleman around the other Shelties and their owners, but unfortunately he wasn't well behaved around other dog breeds. We're working on his manners! Bentley (a.k.a. Lover) was having a blast meeting all the other doggies. I ran him through the beginner agility course that was set up and both were showered with treats the entire time we were there. Can't wait until next year.

Hubby and I had our hands full with Bentley and our new rescue Murphy and we had so much fun the time flew by! Next year I'll take pics and post them. Promise.

We competed in AKC Obedience on the 15th in New Hampshire so we couldn't make the festivities. I'll plan better next near!

Aww, I wish that I had signed on here the last few weeks and saw this post, I totally would have loved to have brought my boys down there. However, like you were stating earlier about your little boy. My Ashlee doesn't do real well around other breeds of dogs, but he does love my parent's shelties. :D. That's why we're taking him to another dog training class which starts this Thursday.
