Ears - 5 months - too late???

I have a 5 month old sheltie. His ears used to tip natually until this week. Is it too late to gule them?

Thanks for you help.

Should be no problem at all. Not surprising they are flying up now...they tend to do that when they start teething. Why? I don't know.

When you glue, be careful how much you glue down. You want a nice tip, not a hound-ear. You may also need to brace between the ears as well.

There's lots of info on the forum already - just do a search here, and you'll find some very detailed instructions.

As Barb said, there are TONS of threads already on methods of gluing. And depending on where you live it's not hard to find glue that is safe to use. But no, it's not too late to glue. One thing I WOULD recommend doing tho, is bracing the ears together at the top of the head(pull them up and towards each other and glue them like that) That's one thing I didn't keep on top of after the first few times I had them glued down, and although they look fine, I think it may be too late for me to fix that. They come up where they're supposed to be when he's alert, which I suppose isn't a bad thing, at least I'll be able to ready his expression. But if they are JUST starting to fly up now you should have no problem gluing them back down to tip. I mean, after all, you could have "Bacca" ears or "Caliber" ears.........Barbs "Bacca" has hound ears that didn't wanna cooperate, then there's my baby who at 3 months could poke your eye out WHILE picking up satellite radio with his! You have the happy medium! Just keep on it!! And try not to get discouraged. It take a few times to get the gluing process to work.
