"Ears puppy blues", part 125

We used hair extension glue from Sally Beauty Supply to do Maggie's ears. It's about 6 dollars for a bottle and they also sell the remover right next to the glue at the store. It dries super fast and after a few minutes of waggling her head around she was oblivious to the idea that they were glued. After a few weeks the glue eventually grows out with her fur and then I just snipped the glue piece out. I gave her a couple of days to see what the ears were doing and then glued them back. Repeat until they don't prick up anymore. I really thought it was going to be harder than that but perhaps Maggie just had ears that were agreeable, lol

Thank you! Will try to get hair extension's glue or fabric glue tomorrow.

Sorry for the drama, sometimes I forget everyone here has been there :P. I just went to check on Lucien before going to sleep, and nearly had a heart attack. Either he reads the forum, is scared of glue or is just playing with me... .

This is Lucien a couple of hours ago:

This is what I found (sorry for crate pic but I couldn't get him to stay still):

haahahaaaa he read the forum and willed his ears tipped!

Dont worry everyone has been there and stressed over their silly ears at one point or another!

Seriously haha. At first I thought this dog hated me, but now we are so in sync for some things I wouldn't put it past him :P (during dinner today he ignored my father, who was offering him meat, and went after me instead haha).

I got out of work at 7:30 pm today, so I could buy anything. However, I refused to let his ears alone another day (they were pricking again today) so I ended up doing this. Surprisingly, the tape is still there after half an hour (our record while trying the normal taping method was 47 seconds... yes, I counted...). At least it will keep his ears tipped until I get the glue. He does not seem that uncomfortable as well.

This is how he looks now:

It probably is a bit high... :/

That looks a lot like what I did with my second dog, Lexi. We used the Japanese tape that someone mentioned. I prefer that method to glue (but only because the glue made a mess since I had no idea what I was doing!)

The glue worked great for us (we used the sewing glue). I do believe that the ears change when the pup is teething. I think that is when they all of a sudden go prick. I would go with the glue and let us know how it goes!
