Firstly, apologies for the long absence. I have missed my SN friends but have had a load of family problems which has meant I haven't really felt like doing much over the last few months.
I missed the KC show I had entered in February and this weekend was the first we have done since then.
I had him in Combined Agility Grade 1-3, Combined Jumping Grade 1-2 and Graded Agility (Grade 1&2).
We were eliminated in the first couple of classes. He collected faults in the first for missing the weave entry first time (my mistake, I rushed him) and he jumped off the teeter before it touched down, then somehow I missed a jump.
I was cross with myself in the second class because it was a lovely round and again, I rushed the weaves and he sped into the tunnel by mistake because no direction from me.
The final class was really late in the day, 5pm and it had been a long hot one so by this stage I was just thinking it doesn't really matter what happens and he seemed quite quiet in the queue. I thought he would run flat but actually he suddenly switched on. He made the weave entry this time no problem but he came over the teeter very quick and I thought had got faulted. Nevertheless I was delighted with the run which was a really nice way to end the day.
Or so I thought.
I checked to see how he had done and was thrilled to see a clear round!! So off we trotted to get the clear round rosette - our first which I was over the moon with!
Went off to get some chips for Jessica and we had just finished and were about to go when they called the class results. I thought as we had gone clear we might possibly have scraped a place as there were 21 entries, but as they only award prizes to a % of the class wasn't too hopeful. We didn't get third or second so that was that...
You can imagine how STUNNED I was when we were called in first - just couldn't believe it.
There was a lovely rosette and beautiful crystal glass trophy:

Unfortunately no video typically because there wasn't anyone around to take it!
I thanked the judge profusely. I am so proud of Epic. He hasn't had much agility training this year either. This win I think means he has already qualified out of Grade 1 so now is a Grade 2 agility dog!
Hope this doesn't sound too much like I'm just coming back to brag but it is so nice to have some good news for a change that I really wanted to share it with you guys!
