Episioplasty for Leela?

Leela is 1.5 years old and has had a some UTI's, mostly when she was puppy but this summer we've had two back to back. She did go through her first heat before she was spayed. At our last vet visit we were told she has a recessed vulva and they recommended an episioplasty.

I have done a little research and found a couple of holistic options that I believe I am going to try before going straight to surgery. I have Leela on daily probiotics and a cranberry supplement, I am also using baby wipes when we come in from walks or play outside. I'd like to see if this can be controlled without having her go through surgery.

I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced issues like this and if anyone is using these types of methods or have other suggestions.

My vet had diagnosed my dog with a recessed vulva when she is a puppy. Unfortunately, I didn't know this until after she was spayed. She suffered through many UTI's as a puppy and still gets one every once in a while (she is 8 now). Her UTI's have been controlled with 1/8 of a 500mg vitamin C pill and a pinch of D'Mannose powder 2x a day (in her food). I also make sure the fur around her vulva is trimmed. My dog usually cleans herself after she potties, so I am not using wipes anymore.
