Every seen a Sheltie with Ears like these?

mcemily

thanks for the reply.
Perhaps you and Connie are right about the ears / calcium deficiency . When milli went in for surgery the Vet said she was low on calcium and a few other things. We've been giving her extra nutrients and calcium pills everyday for the last 2 weeks.

I'm excited to see milli grow some more =).

Yeah, Lerwick had a slow start to his growth, too. He had coccidia, and it slipped past a couple vet visits before finally showing up in a fecal exam. It was frustrating for those few months... but once we got that sorted out, he grew like a weed!

It will be very interesting to see how Milli blossoms. And hopefully, no more broken bones! Poor little baby.

Give those adorable ears a scritch-scratch from me. :smile2:

xerospin: Yeah, maybe Milli's ears will be like this when shes fully grown. Thanks for sharing.

Tentcamp: Those look like typical Sheltie ears to me . =). Especially when Meggie was a pup. You see the clear Triangle standup shape from the front.
Milli's ears dont move to the front at all. they more up and down though.
thanks for the pics.

here is some pics of Tessa, she is half sheltie and half mini aussie, call her a ''shaussie''
just showing so can see a sheltie/aussie mix.

The first picture, I wasn't sure, but the the next two pictures did look Sheltie to me.

Some dogs, despite having the best pedigrees have hound ears. My Bacca is one. Its a genetic thing that surfaces from time to time, despite the best of breeding programs and all the ear bracing you can imagine.

I've posted a picture of Bacca, born of champions and most of his siblings champions as well. My poor sad sack, Eeyore face....., Bacca!

We Love you Bacca !!!
Treesa & Shelley
