Fight with a Cat

Good to hear you got in to the vet. Cat bites get infected very easily, so it's best to get antibiotics straight away, scratches aren't so much of an issue.

Hopefully the cat will have gotten the message and may try another route next time.

This is so true! A couple years ago we had our cat out in the backyard on a leash. He loved going outside & didn't want to come in when DH picked him up so he bit him. That bite was exactly into the vein in the back of his hand. By noon the next day he had a red line running from his hand to his underarm. Two days in the hospital hooked up to IV antibiotics fixed him up. Cat bites are dangerous.

Oh gracious! That's frightening. Luckily it didn't look like there were any actual bites, although it can't fully be ruled out for the paw marks.

She's very much her old self again after the pain meds, and a night of resting. She was hopping out of bed nice and early, and wanting to play run around the couch. I promised her a small walk down the street if she's still not limping by the time evening comes.

It's so good to see her back up to her normal spirits, seeing her in so much pain she doesn't want to get up...it hurts.
