Finally, a good weekend

The last trial I went to was in late October, right before Hurricane Sandy. On run #2 of 8, I fell in a most spectacular fashion, and was carried off. I sprained my knee, ankle, and broke a rib. The ankle was ok in a week, the knee took most of a month, and the ribs are just now right.

Fast forward to this weekend. I had three dogs entered in jumpers for two days. I actually had anxiety about running again, which is understandable given the previous trials trauma.

Well, Miss Evie didn't Q yesterday, which was OK. River got MXJ leg #9, and Marque had fun. I wasn't sure what I was going to get out of Marque, as he is pushing nine years old and hasn't been worked in years.

Today, Evie finished her NAJ! River finished his MXJ, and Marque had a really good run. He wouldn't weave, but he cranked out the rest of the course. I was so happy with all three of them.

And the best part was I stayed upright for all 6 runs!

Congrats to those who got their finish. Marque - glad you had some fun.

Rachael - glad you are okay. You really must have taken a tumble last time. I can totally understand the apprehension you felt but you did good.

Do you have pictures?

Happy for you! Glad you're back to 100% and sounds like the pups gave you their best. That's a great feeling.

Glad to hear it went well and you are OK now , the crap that can happen in this sport is scarry sometimes, Its almost to funny I have been in Phisio for a popped Hip that I got running Storm a months ago doing a quick stop, plant, and redirect and push off with her My hip just went Pop and down I went. My sports Doctors thought it was just too funny that an experienced , highly trained and very fit Tri-athlete ended up in her office from playing with the Dog... Personally I didn't think it was too funny myself, it s been 8 weeks of phisio twice a week for an hour and the hip is just starting to come around now.

I know I am a lot more carefull and cautious out there now because of it.
