I can't tell you how long I've waited for an agility class in our area. When I found Hog Dog Productions and Bridget (Dogstar Performance) I was so thrilled. We enrolled Bentley and Zoey and had our first class Wednesday night. The hour flew by in what seemed like an instant. Both our guys did the tunnel and touched the see-saw. Okay, well Bentley was more confident about the whole ordeal, but Zoey will come along. Bridget is amazing. So glad I found her. Can't wait for next week.

Congrates, Glad everyone had fun, that's what it's all about, you will see a big change in Zoey, agility if a big confidence booster for the more timid shelties. with our Cosmo it was like he just came out of his shell, and you could see his confidence grow every week.

Sounds like you guys had fun and of course that's the most important thing, right!? And ITA Zoey will find her confidence and she'll wow you. I know Koji did once he figured it out, got confident and bam, my little boy was running like the wind (well, for him, lol).

Can't wait to hear more stories about Zoey and Bentley's agility adventures.

Glad you found a training center and trainer you feel good about. It's GREAT you and the dogs had a fantastic time at your first class. Let us know how they progress.

Bridget is a great trainer and handler! We're very lucky to have a good selection of trainers and shows in this area and most are pretty good. There's a USDAA show this weekend at the Soccerdome in Jessup. That's pretty close to you isn't it?

I'd love to attend the USDAA event in Jessup this weekend, but we've got too much going on.

Happy to report that both Bentley and Zoey are progressing well and seem to be having a lot of fun. Zoey (the over reactive timid one) is slowly building her confidence and now flies through the tunnels without hesitation. Bentley slaps the see-saw with both paws and the noise it makes coming down a few inches doesn't even phase him. Not so with Zoey. It will take us a bit longer to get her to realize it's not going to engulf her (LOL). We introduced the doggies to jumps and weave polls last night, which they did with ease. Zoey's rump came so far off the ground (to avoid the hurdle) that she almost did a paw stand and it made our instructor Bridget laugh! We get off from work early Friday so I think we'll head over to Hog Dog for some practice.

Pics will be posted soon!

Sounds great! Agility is normally pretty good for building confidence :biggrin2:
