To give Spitfire credit it was not that Ian was up also. It was that he jumped up and basically crashed Spitfire onto me and then him on both of us.

Oh no Ann! I can just imagine! Our holiday was Saturday…I heard a few fireworks going off early which got Finnie and Blueberry going but not for long. The big fireworks were later so I was able to prepare so they couldn’t hear them fortunately.Last night we had monster fireworks in the neighborhood, ugh. I was wearing so many Shelties I couldn't find the couch.
Now prepare for tomorrow…I’m sure they’ll be lots of fireworks (and people doing stupid things with them)!

Amazingly Spitfire has been super chill (for him) this year. Normally it is a hyper ventilating rampage. Last night he slept through many in front of his fan.

It was really quiet here last night. I suspect the temperature and high humidity made a lot of folks decide to stay indoors and put up with it tonight. Hopefully they will all have their fun early, and things will quiet down by bedtime. Fireworks are illegal here, but rarely enforced.

Last night we had fireworks AND thunderstorms, argh!!! The perfect storm, literally speaking. Poor Misty was a blivet. I can hardly wait for tonight (NOT). I'm praying for monsoon rain.

Oh no Ann! I'm dreading tonight here as well. We're going to a friend's home for BBQ and they live on some acreage so hoping for the best. Sometimes it goes on into the wee hours here.
