I have a question, Apparently, my neighbors cat downstairs has fleas pretty badly, His home aid has been asking me questions about how to get rid of them. All he uses is the flea collar which really offers no protection at all, The aid says the neighbor is unable to clean the litter box daily as he should.(probably how he got them in the first place)

Beau, (thank Goodness) doesn't have any fleas at all and I do have him on preventive medicine Revolution, I have told the aid about the medication and how much it cost for the cat. This was two days ago, other than a flea bath they really haven't done anything else for the poor thing.

I'm debating whether or not, I should contact the Landlord(PHA) because he doesn't have permission to have the cats and I don't want to get him in trouble, however, I'm concerned that if he doesn't do something soon that I will have them in my apartment. Any suggestions to make me feel less guilty would be greatly appreciated

I should add, I have no experience with felines, (I'm a dog person) and I'm also concerned about the health of the cat, I don't know how long a cat can go without treatment

I would buy a bag of food grade diatomaceous earth from your local feed store. It is really very inexpensive. Then, I would ask him to use it mixed in the litter box and then sprinkle it all over the carpet. Leave on the carpet for a few days, and then vaccuum up. Then repeat.

This is inexpensive for you (considering the alternative of getting rid of an infestation on your part) and it is totally safe and natural. He can also put the DE directly on the cats skin.
