Fluid in the Chest

Hi again

I need to ask a very blunt question.....how old is Rasha?

I think the age will be a very defining factor in deciding how much further to go. The day they told me that Timber had cancer, I knew almost immediately that I would not prolong it for long (unfortunately, that decision was taken away from me only hours later )

Shelties do not live to great ages, unfortunately. I don't know of many 16 year old+ shelties. Or even 14+. 12 over so seems to be about normal.

I'm sorry if I'm sounding harsh by asking this. But depending on Rasha's age, you really have to ask yourself when enough is enough; and you've done all you can.

Hugs to you!

No, very valid question. She is only 9. If she was older, def no question about it I would just say it was related to age and let her live out her life but she is far to young and in otherwise great health to just simply throw in the towel. That's why I'm having such a hard time deciding what to do. Thanks Barb.

Yes, 9 is still young.

All I can say is keep on looking for answers. From what you describe it seems to me that a definitive diagnosis can't be too far away.

Unfortunately, it does seem to cost a huge amount of dollars to get there.

I'm thinking about you alot and sending my prayers to you.
Luv
