Food Question

We were feeding our older Sheltie and new puppy Science Diet. Two vet assistants have told me in confidence that most of the dogs that come in that eat "poop" are on it. We decided to change food and one vet tech said she had four dogs on a food she really thought was good. It is Orijen - we bought some - the dogs love it, but I've never given dogs a food with such high protein content (40%) (Also, it smells somewhat fishy :dead: LOL).

I know you can't recommend foods, etc. but has anyone used this food and what do you think?

I loved Orijen...I only took my boys off it because Bacca developed an aversion to it because he got sick at the same time.

It's a good food, but it does have a strong smell. I think Chris (?) is still using it.

My boys are still on a high protein, grain-free diet and doing great.
 
Thank you, Barb. That's what I needed to hear!!

I was browsing through the different forums and found the old thread about "dingle berries." What a funny thread - it provided me with a sorely needed laugh today!!! :lol:
