Hm... Not all information correct. I have asked the AKC - it recognizes the FCI titles and champions sertificates in 30 days since 1-st show in USA. After that I need to register dog with AKC. If I will AKC member, it will annulate titles ( I didn't see yet information this is true). It's understandable.
This is strange - if the association recognize (even temporary) titles the other association, then why I must start with other gods.
Let's repeat, I don't know rules, this is just logic. )))
Oh, we will see.![]()
Hmm, I think you're confusing the foreign registration with the foreign title... This is from the Rules Applying to Dog Shows:
An unregistered dog with an acceptable foreign registration that is individually registered with a foreign registry organization whose pedigrees are acceptable for AKC registration may, without special AKC approval, be exhibited in licensed or member dog shows that are held not later than 30 days after the date of the first licensed or member dog show in which
the dog was exhibited...
This means that, because your dog is registered with the Russian Kynological Federation, he can show in AKC shows for up to 30 days without needing to be officially registered with the AKC. (After that, you'll need to register him as an import. Information here: http://www.akc.org/rules/special_registry_services.cfm)
I wish I knew someone else who had gone through the process of importing dogs from Russia and showing them in the US, because I know that would be very helpful to you. Unfortunately, my only experience is with importing dogs from Canada: the AKC recognizes their registration (but they must be registered with the AKC within 30 days of their first show), but not their Canadian Champion titles. When they start showing in the US, they aren't AKC champions, and so they have to start just like any other non-AKC-champion dog.
). It's understandable.
