From 3 meals to 2?

cold turkey- Cran and Jocu were about 4-5 months old when snowbird Dad went back north...
actually Cran probably got lunch for a little longer as the neighbor was going home for lunch at that time and would let him out/give him lunch then.
wasn't really an option for Jocu though.
Destin was about 3 months when I brought him home- I don't think that I gave him lunch at all.......

I've always fed 1/2 cup of good quality food three times a day until they're 6 months old. Around 5 months, if they're gaining weight well, I decrease the lunch feeding to 1/3 and then 1/4 cup before eliminating it. Around 6 months I make the switch to adult food and depending on weight, and start decreasing the amount depending on activity and conditioning. My adults eat 1/4 cup of Fromm twice daily.

.

It is sort of a guessing game with Baker since he was just a tad over 3lbs at 8 weeks. I started with scant 1/4 c of Fromm's Puppy Gold 3 times a day. Although he was eager to eat, he always left a few pieces behind. Now, at 12 weeks, he gets a heaping 1/4 cup, still leaves a few pieces behind.

I think he's growing nicely - will find out his new weight tomorrow when we go for shot #2.
