I made a DIY ramp to my high bed. Gavin can't get up there without either a ramp or something to jump on like a bench (which I moved) Ever since I put it in, Gavin uses it all the time. I have to keep my bedroom door closed during the day just to get him off the bed! As soon as I go to bed, up pops Gavin. He goes up and down 4-6 times a night. At first I was like, I missed 10 years of puppy snuggles! Now I am like, I missed 10 years of a bed hog!

Now I am working on the chair and couch. The difference is that he can jump on them, and seems to prefer that to a ramp.
 
Annie Laurie used the ramp after stairs grew too difficult. Now Layla and Beckon enjoy it.
 
We bought a ramp for Pixie to use several years ago to avoid the jump up to our deck from the yard and it was the best thing we did. Sprite used it after her surgery, and all the puppies love running up and down it too. They are terrific and work better for us than stairs.
