Justus and I drove back and forth to Perry, GA for the Crossroads cluster of dog shows. We entered Saturday and Sunday in Graduate Novice, and Rally Excellent (A, our first two attempts)

He Qualified in all his classes and had some really good moves, and a few not so stellar moments, but really, other than bouncing on the fast, bouncing off me on one of the recalls, and barking in rally ~ he was practically perfect. (mushy mother moment)

Anyway we showed to Rose Doan on Saturday, and Harold Doan on Sunday.

Grad Novice Sat - 188, 1st place
Grad Novice Sun - 190.5 1st place

Rally Excellent Sat - 72 bad me, 2nd place
Rally Excellent Sun - 97 good Justus, except for the barky parts! 1st place!

I can't believe I made such a stupid mistake! I entered him in RE-A when he should be RE-B! He finished his BN, so is inelligible for any of the A classes. I have already put the ribbons and toys in a box and will send them back as soon as AKC notifies me of the error... (and I really won't mind losing that 72 score on Saturday! I'm sure he has more 97's and better to come)

Luckily there is only one other entry in that class, a local OTCh trainer, and I will tell her that blue ribbon is hers. :) She will forgive me.

I bet I won't get that wrong again! Have entered RE-B for two trials in July.

oh no:eek2:- can't believe that- one of the reasons that we haven't tried too hard to finish our BN- want to get through all the Rally as A first. we need to get cracking so we can enter Advanced this fall...... off leash heeling- oh, we need some practice...............
 
I'll lose the ribbons and legs, but am glad for the experience. I looked at the results and we would have had 1st, even in Rally Excellent B. :)

He gets a little wound up in rally - I worry that the barking might become an issue. We do agility on Thursday nights and he is getting barky-ier overall, but especially if there is any "excitement" in the air...

It clearly was an honest mistake and I'm sure the AKC has dealt with this very issue on several occasions. On a good note, Justus' scores will be expelled from his records.
