Does your pup do goofy things?

Our newest is a TV watcher. If a dog comes on the TV she is immediately in front of the TV, growling and jumping, like she's going to get that dog. Don't know if the jumping is to get up to the height of the TV and drag the dog off the screen or just general excitement. She stops when you tell her, but she just can't resist the initial jump.

She also will get excited if she notices any dog picture or dog video on the computer. She seems to know the mouse works the computer. She tries knocking it around with her nose or foot. Loves to set on my lap and watch videos of shelties. (That probably helps promote the actions.) And she does prefer dogs that look like her. Smooth coats, such as labs, don't seem to excite her.

All my Shelties, I was always on their case about barking at an early age. They were all good about not barking. This new one figures the way to get around that is to growl. So when someone is out front she wants me to check out, she'll come zipping looking for me. You can hear her low growling (almost grumbling) as she approaches. Then she bops you with her nose and leads the way back, with the growling, to where the action is happening. So most mornings I know what time the neighbor and his dog fetch the paper.

She also prances around when she sees her reflection. Don't know if she thinks it's another dog (because she will growl) or if the girl is just vain!

They are funny aren't they

Kia, will bark at her reflection in the mirror or the glass window panes. She is funny. She actually scared herself one time and she fluffed up like a cat does when it's frightened. I nearly died laughing because I had never seen a dog do that before. My Jewel was to scared to stick around, she'd be in your lap wether you had room or not! Tasha would just go get her toy and try to solve things through play. I love animals they are just so funny.

Sadie has a couple of goof ball things that she does.

Firstly, she loves things that are bright and shiny. She LOVES fireworks, she tries to catch the flashes of light and the noise excites her even more.

She also LOVES flashlight and flashing lights. If your watch happens to catch the sun she's chassing the light. She also can't resist chasing the light from a flashlight either. She's done this since she was a pup. We got her a laser pointer for rainy days and it is one of her favorite toys.

Sadie also cannot resist running at and biting the water that comes out of a hose. She throws her whole body into it and will keep jumping at the streaming water till she's exhausted

Airborne

Jackson likes to get up on the couch then jump up and out toward the middle of the room to land on our other poor unsuspecting dog’s back. He’d hit the dog then run back to the couch to do it over and over again. When we first brought Jackson home he spent much of his time airborne. I swear he's got spring's on the bottom of his feet.
