Here is Honey's standard run...

And no, if they are properly trained and do a swimmer's turn (all four feet hit the box) they don't get hurt. If they tend to slam their front into the box, they can jam their shoulders and neck. Baci actually needs some work on his turn and return, because he should be able to single-stride down (and back) but he often doesn't.
