Grey pigment on tummy - Puppy

Hello everyone,

My pup is 4 months old now and for the past month or so her tummy skin is like a grey color instead of pink. It used to be all pink when we first got her now there is some pink and some grey on her tummy. She is a sable and white. No skin irritation or hair loss.

Is this normal? What color tummy does your Sheltie have?

Please help, I am getting really worried looking up diseases on Google.
 
Is the skin a different texture or somehow different than the rest of her skin (other than color obviously)? I would go ahead and just take her to the vet. If you're really concerned, that would help put your mind at ease.
 
No the skin feels the same and you wouldn't notice anything different other than the color.

I am seeing the vet on Monday, but thats a few days away and a long time to worry.
 
My sheltie's tummy has been chaging colour also. I was at the vet yesterday for something unrelated and I asked about it. She said it is just pigment. Hopefully it is the same for your baby.
 
Yes, it just looks like pigment changing color, but why does this happen? Her whole tummy is pink, but she has these patches, both small and large that is a grey color. No irritation or anything.

Hopefully it is just pigment. She is only 4 months old and I wouldn't expect that to happen. Maybe when she is older perhaps.
 
Oberon had white splotches on his tummy at about that age; no big deal. Now (8 months old) his tummy is all furry, so I don't know what color the skin is.
