Hanna Mondays

Hanna was born on Monday June 3rd, she is exactly 11 weeks old today and so I decided that every Monday until she turns one, I will take a photo (or two) of her and post it. Todays was taken on a morning walk in the Pinery Provincial park behind our house. We did about 3 KM with a friend and her toy poodle. I carried Hanna about 1/4 of the way, not because she couldn't keep up, but because she kept taking little side detours to sniff things. With stopping for water breaks and turtle watching we were out about an hour. Then my tired puppy needed a nap so I decided to try and glue those ears down.

I love it-will be anxiously waiting every week for a new pic:pop
wish I had been better at taking regular pix when the pups were little:o

According to the charts I saw on here, she should end up within the breed standard but at the low end based on her height & weight at 10 weeks ( 6.6 pounds and 7.75 inches). My gut feeling is that she will end up a closer to the big end - regardless, I'm not showing her so her final size isn't that important to me so long as she's not overweight ( and that is within my control).

She'll have to have some growth spurt to go over 16"! She's smaller than my dog was at 10 weeks (7.3 lbs), But who knows, those Shelties can be unpredictable! My dog is 16" btw.

Her little sister (the one I had actually gone over to look at) was the runt of a litter of 7, she was easily only half of Hanna's size. Beside her, Hanna looked positively huge - maybe that is why I think she will be bigger. She has such a big coat that when you pick her up she is actually lighter than you would expect.

She is adorable!
Fillion was the smallest of his litter, but you never can tell. He caught up with his sisters pretty much now, at 6 months.
I wish I would have thought of the pic every week--great idea!

Pu-ppies! Pu-ppies! Pu-ppies! AND MORE PUPPIES! YAAAAY! GO TEAM PUPPY!
I will be expecting puppy pix EVERY week! No excuses now!
