She does great on her Innova with her Merrick's canned. In fact, she doesn't have to have a poop shoot.
However she's getting puffy, and it's not all hair.
She's down to half a cup a day with a couple teaspoons of canned. If I take away any more of her food I think she's going to revolt. She must be one of those "easy keeper" shelties.
The Innova is 504 calories a cup. So I was going to drop her down to a low fat version. However, that is only 18%, which is kind of low for her since she is under two years of age. So I decided to try a different brand. The guy at the pet shop showed me the Natural Planet Organics. Supposed to be certified organic by Oregon Tilth. The calories per cup drop to 320 calories but still with 23% protein. That will save her 92 calories a day without having to cut the amount of food. So does anyone know how many calories per pound a day a Sheltie needs?
Anyone use this food, or ever hear of it? Supposedly they manufacture it at some small town. The plant basically supports the people and the town. It is a grain food, but so is the Innova.
