Hello everyone, I could use some advice from you Sheltie lovers out there, I have been looking for an adult sheltie to adopt, I spoke with a local breeder who had a female available;however, in talking with her we decided that since I now own a female (not a sheltie) that a male would be a better fit. I have contacted another breeder that she recommended to me, and they have 2 males for adoption, she states that they are both "shy" so they did not work out as show dogs. So finally to my question: Is shyness also a timidness? I would like the dog the be my companion pet, so I am a little concerned that shy may also mean afraid of everything? Any advice or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

There is a great bunch of Sheltie enthusiasts on the forum. Best of luck with your chosing a sheltie pet.
